Have you ever rejoiced in the company of amazing encouragers? When I think of the time my life was surrounded by a large company of men who define this word, I am flooded with memories formed by love at Kanakuk Kamps and Doulos Ministries. These men taught me how to live a life focused on encouragement because they displayed this quality as part of their identity. Kanakuk is such a magical place where it is understood we are not defined by what we do, but by who we are in Christ. I am grateful God placed these strong spiritual leaders in my life and allowed me to work together with them as a counselor. They remind me of King David’s Mighty Men who would go to great lengths to support one another. I dedicate the What IF Dad virtue of encouragement the men of Kanakuk Kamps and Doulos Ministries. During my time with Doulos, I was able to stay in the home with Dr. Doug Nuenke and his wife Pam. Both have such an amazing heart for ministering to others and by watching them, I learned many ways I would want to interact with my own children.
